Booker Prize for Fiction

Booker Prize for Fiction, a prize founded in 1969 and financed by Booker McConnell, awarded annually to the best full-length novel by a British or Commonwealth citizen published in the previous 12 months. In 2002 the prize became known as the Man Booker Prize (under new sponsorship by the Man Group).
