Le Havre Group

Le Havre Group. A name sometimes applied to Braque, Dufy, and Friesz, who all attended the École Municipale des Beaux-Arts in Le Havre in the 1880s and later became members of the Fauves. Dufy and Friesz were born in Le Havre; Braque moved there from Argenteuil in 1890, when he was 8.
