Huszár, Vilmos

Huszár, Vilmos (1884–1960). Hungarian-born painter, designer, and graphic artist, who settled in the Netherlands in 1906. He was one of the founders of De Stijl in 1917 and he continued his association with the group until 1923. His speciality at this time was designing abstract stained glass and interior decoration. Later he returned to figure painting in a geometrical style.
