Art Contemporain, L'

Art Contemporain, L' (Kunst van Heden). An association of Belgian artists founded in Antwerp in 1905 by the dealer François Franck (1872–1932) to promote interest in avant-garde work. It organized an exhibition almost every year until 1955. Among its members were van den Berghe, Brusselmans, Ensor, Permeke, de Smet, Spilliaert, Tytgat, and Wouters.
