Sea Peoples

Sea Peoples (or Peoples of the Sea) Groups of people who encroached on the Levant and Egypt by land and by sea in the late 13th century. Their identity is still being debated. In the Levant they are associated with destruction; the Egyptians were successful in driving them away. Some, including the Philistines, settled in Palestine.
