Ribbentrop, Joachim von
Ribbentrop, Joachim von (1893–1946) German Nazi politician. A close associate of Hitler, Ribbentrop served as Foreign Minister (1938–45). During his ministry, he signed the non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union (1939). He was convicted as a war criminal at the Nuremberg trials and hanged.
