Bay of Pigs (or Cochinos Bay) A bay on the southern coast of the island of Cuba in the Caribbean Sea, the scene of an unsuccessful invasion attempt in April 1961 by US-backed Cuban exiles seeking to oust the Communist government of Fidel Castro.
