Noam

Noam ♂ Modern Jewish name, from a Hebrew vocabulary word meaning ‘delight, joy, pleasantness’ (compare Naomi, which is from the same Hebrew root). Its most famous bearer is the American linguist Noam Chomsky (b. 1928).
