B. †judge of XV; account, consider XVI. — (O)F. estimer — L. æstimāre (orig.) fix the price of, estimate (cf. AIM).
So esteem sb. XIV, estimable XVI. estimate †judge, esteem XVI; †value, assess; form an approximate notion of XVII. f. pp. stem of L. æstimāre. Hence, or — L. æstimātus, estimate sb. XVI. So estimation XIV.
