MacSwiney, Terence

MacSwiney, Terence (1879–1920). MacSwiney, who had succeeded Thomas MacCurtain as Sinn Féin lord mayor of Cork, died at Brixton prison, London, on 25 October on the 74th day of a hunger strike following his imprisonment for possessing a Royal Irish Constabulary cipher.
