Dwyer, Michael (1772–1825), leader of a guerrilla band that remained at large in the Wicklow Mountains following the
insurrection of 1798. He surrendered at the end of 1803 and was transported to Australia, where he became high constable of the Liverpool district of New South Wales in 1820.
