Claidheamh Soluis, An (Sword of Light), established in 1899 as the newspaper of the Gaelic League. It was edited by Eoin MacNeill (1899–1901) and Patrick Pearse (1903–9). It continued under the names Fáinne an Lae (1918–19, 1922–30) and Misneach (1919–22), reverting briefly to An Claidheamh Soluis in 1930–1.
