Maronite

Maronite a member of a Christian sect of Syrian origin, living chiefly in Lebanon and in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. The name comes ultimately from the name of John Maro, a 7th-century Syrian religious leader, who may have been the first Maronite patriarch.
