Santa Fe, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Galapagos Islands, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Philippines, Spain, USA 1. Argentina: a province and a city founded in 1573 as Santa Fe de Vera Cruz ‘Holy Faith of the True Cross’. It was moved to its present location in 1651 and the name shortened.2. USA (New Mexico): founded in 1610 as a provincial capital in New Spain with the name Villa Real de la Santa Fé de San Francisco de Asis ‘Royal City of the Holy Faith of St Francis of Assisi’.
