Sanandaj, Iran Sisar It was at one time called Sisar ‘Thirty Heads’ by the travellers Ibn Khurdazib and Qudameh. It was then renamed after a royal castle built in 1667 and called Seneh or Sna from which the present name comes with the additional dej ‘castle’.
