Azad Kashmir

Azad Kashmir ‘Free Kashmir’, part of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir since the partition of India in 1947. Nominally independent with its own president and prime minister, it has close economic and administrative links with Pakistan. See Kashmir.
