Giottesques
Giottesques. A term applied to the 14th-century followers of
Giotto. The best-known artists embraced by the term are the Florentines Bernardo
Daddi, Taddeo
Gaddi,
Maso di Banco, and to a lesser extent the
Master of St Cecilia. Giotto's most loyal follower was Maso, who concentrated on the essential and maintained the master's high seriousness.
