Welsh
Welsh (Cymraeg) Language of Wales. It is spoken natively by less than 19% of the Welsh population, chiefly in the rural north and west of the country. It belongs to the Brittonic sub-branch of the Celtic family of
Indo-European languages, and is closely related to
Breton and Cornish. It survives more strongly than most other
Celtic languages.
