Sukkoth (Sukkat) Jewish Feast of
Tabernacles, or Feast of Booths, an autumn festival that lasts for seven days. It commemorates the wandering of the Jews in the desert and their salvation through God. A
sukkat, or simple tent of branches, is raised in the synagogue.
