Boat Race

Boat Race Annual rowing contest between Oxford and Cambridge University eights, first held in 1829. It is rowed on a 6.8km (4.25mi) -long course on the River Thames in London, from Putney to Mortlake. Staged on the present course since 1845, the race takes place in March or April.
