electrical conductivity
electrical conductivity (σ) The ease with which an electrical current will pass through a material, in units of siemens or reciprocal ohms (mhos) per metre. In materials which are assumed to be
isotropic, conductivity is equal to the inverse of
resistivity (ρ), therefore σ= 1/ρ. See also
APPARENT CONDUCTIVITY.
