Strong, Maj-General Kenneth (1900–82),British Army officer who was appointed Eisenhower's chief of intelligence in March 1943 and subsequently served in the same capacity with SHAEF. He was a confidant of Eisenhower and one of his strongest supporters. This did not endear him to some of his British superiors who criticized him for not predicting the German Ardennes campaign in December 1944. See also ULTRA, 1.
