Mussert, Anton

Mussert, Anton (1894–1946),Dutch Quisling leader and founder of the Nazi Party in the Netherlands who was appointed as the country's leader in 1942. His party, 30,000 strong at the start of the war rose only to 50,000. He was executed in 1946. See also Netherlands, 3(a).
