Dalton, (Edward) Hugh

Dalton, (Edward) Hugh (1887–1962),British Labour politician who served as minister of economic warfare in Churchill's coalition government which involved him in forming SOE. In February 1942 he became president of the board of trade and did much to improve the coal industry and ease the fuel crisis.
