Cooney teams

Cooney teams. Eighteen three-man French Special Air Service teams dropped into Brittany on the night of 7/8 June 1944 to cut rail links with Normandy after the Allied landings there (seeOVERLORD). One of their successes was to prevent the German 3rd Parachute Division being moved out of Brittany by rail.
