Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, The, edited by E.R.A. Seligman and Alvin Johnson, was published in 15 volumes (1930–35). It contained articles by outstanding scholars dealing with the primary materials of social study. In 1968 it was revised and expanded to 18 volumes as
International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences.
