graphic anchor

graphic anchor A graphic image embedded in a WEB PAGE which, when clicked by the user of a BROWSER, displays the page which is referenced by the URL associated with the anchor. Graphical anchors can be bullets, icons, or advertisements. See also TEXT ANCHOR, IMAGE MAP, and BANNER ADVERT.
