encryption algorithm This is an ALGORITHM that is used to change a PLAIN TEXT into an unreadable CIPHER TEXT using ENCRYPTION. There are a wide variety of algorithms that can be used, ranging from simple ones which provide limited facilities to very complex and resource-intensive ones which are used for the highest security materials.
