bridge
bridge A hardware device which allows data to flow between two networks, usually
LOCAL AREA NETWORKS. It examines the destination address of data that flows through it and forwards it to the network that it bridges if the address matches. If it does not, then the data is sent to other networks which contain bridges so that they can check whether the data is intended for them.
