Internet layer

Internet layer A layer in the INTERNET LAYERED ARCHITECTURE which is equivalent to the OSI NETWORK LAYER: it carries out the process of routing data from one computer to another. To do this it examines possible routes and determines an optimal or near optimal route for PACKETS of data to travel over.
