Internet Architecture Board

Internet Architecture Board A board set up by the INTERNET SOCIETY which is charged with maintaining the openness of the Internet. It carries out a number of functions including appointing a chair of the INTERNET ENGINEERING TASK FORCE, overseeing Internet protocols, external liaison with other standards bodies such as the INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION, editing and overseeing the RFC documents concerned with the Internet, and acting as a source of advice to the INTERNET SOCIETY. It was previously known as the Internet Activities Board.
