Chernobyl packet

Chernobyl packet A badly formed PACKET of data which causes a network to malfunction badly. Usually such packets are caused by a hardware error. See also BROADCAST STORM and NETWORK MELTDOWN. The term is derived from the Russian nuclear accident at Chernobyl.
