Berkeley Internet Name Domain

Berkeley Internet Name Domain An early DOMAIN NAME SERVER which was developed at the University of California at Berkeley. Such servers keep data on domain names and physical addresses of computers on the Internet. Many computers on the Internet still run versions of this server. It is usually abbreviated to BIND.
