Songs of the Sixth Dalai Lama

Songs of the Sixth Dalai Lama. The popular short collection of secular poem-songs composed by the controversial and tragic Dalai Lama VI, Tshangyang Gyatsho (Tib., Tshang-dbyangs rgya-mtsho, 1683–1706). Though the theme of many of these songs is of a romantic nature, some believe they conceal a profounder significance.
