Namo myōhō renge kyō

Namo myōhō renge kyō (Jap.) A phrase meaning ‘Hail to the Scripture of the Lotus of the Wonderful Dharma!’ Chanting this phrase as an expression of devotion to the Lotus Sūtra is the primary religious practice of the Nichiren school of Japanese Buddhism. See also daimoku; Japan.
