Turīya

Turīya (Skt., ‘the fourth’). The accomplished state of absolute consciousness in Hinduism, beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. It is the realization of the ātman as Brahman. The four states are described and analysed in Māṇdūkya Upaniṣad 12.
