Dattātreya

Dattātreya. A Hindu sage or god-figure. In the Mārkaṇḍeya Purāṇa, Dattātreya appears as an antinomian sage. In other purāṇas he is listed among the avatāras of Viṣṇu. Iconography depicts him with three heads, although often in between Brahmā and Śiva.
