amphi-

amphi-. Prefix, meaning on both sides, or the same at front and rear. For example:amphi-antis: a Classical temple with an in antis (see anta) portico at each end;amphi-prostyle: apteral temple without flanking colonnades, but with a prostyle portico at each end of the cella.
