Stuart architecture. Architecture of the C17, especially Jacobean and Caroline, but also applied to the period of the Stuart dynasty in Great Britain from James I and VI (1603–25) to Queen Anne (1702–14). However, the architecture of the reign of Charles II (1660–85) is usually referred to as Restoration or Carolean, followed by the William and Mary (1689–1702), then Queen Anne styles.
