Babb, George Fletcher (1836–1915). American architect. He designed several buildings in New Jersey before forming a partnership with Walter Cook (1846–1916) in NYC in 1877: Babb & Cook designed the cast-iron office-building, 55 Broadway, NYC (1881—demolished). They were joined by Daniel Wheelock Willard (1849–after 1902) in 1884: as Babb, Cook, & Willard, the firm's most celebrated design was the De Vinne Press Building, Lafayette Street, New York (1885–6), but it was responsible for many other architectural works, mostly in NYC.
