Rainbows and promises

In creating its "Promise of Park Ridge," the display of Fiberglas rainbows which have graced the streets of Park Ridge this summer, the Park Ridge-based Rainbow Hospice brought a unique public art opportunity to the city. The rainbows, for the most part, will be gone by the end of this month.

The rainbows helped to make the summer of 2008 something special in Park Ridge, from the sneak peek at the Park Ridge Fine Arts concert at Hodges Park and their official unveiling at a Rainbow Hospice gathering to their emergence on the streets in late June.
