Loyola was not about to take a one-win Hales Franciscan squad lightly with the playoffs about to start.

''We knew Hales was going to come into the game with a lot of pride and passion, and we had to respond to that,'' Ramblers senior quarterback Lucas Ruske said.

Loyola responded with the equivalent of a perfect game. The No. 14 Ramblers scored on all seven of their possessions and added a defensive touchdown to hammer the Spartans 48-0 at Gately Stadium on Sunday.
