Potholes damage roads, cars

Avoiding potholes while driving on many area streets has become virtually impossible in the past few weeks.
With a cycle of temperatures dipping below the 32 degree freezing mark, a brief melting of ice followed by additional freezing, even roads that were in relatively good condition have become hosts to some large potholes.
