Easter Seals picks local artist's flower for stamp
|
Winter can be an uninspiring time for an artist whose favorite
subjects include flowers in bloom.
An avid gardener, Ann Bonzani photographs the annuals and perennials
that grow in the spacious garden of her New Lenox home to provide a
steady stream of subjects to paint during the dreary months.
But earlier this year Bonzani took paint to canvass to reproduce one
flower from her garden, a gloriosa lily.
The painting of the yellow and orange flower set against a magenta
background was picked to be in this year's batch of stamps
issued by Easter Seals, the Chicago-based organization that ...
