Reindeer, penguins thrill from north to south poles andbeyond

Though the most recognized reindeer handler amongst children is Santa Claus, residents in Illinois have come to know Rick and Tammy Anderson, reindeer handlers extraordinaire, almost as well.

The Anderson's own Summerfield Farm in Belvidere and house

horses and exotic animals, including reindeer. "We have horses

so of course we have barns and fencing necessary for

reindeer," said Tammy Anderson. "About fifteen years

ago we started raising and exhibiting reindeer."

The Andersons, complete with volunteers swathed in elf and holiday

themed costumes, exhibit the reindeer across Illinois, ...
