Buoy bashers rattle Chain|Fox Waterway Agency may post $10,000 reward

fabderholden@scn1.com Sometimes kids will use bats to play mailbox baseball - smashing mailboxes off their posts. A variation of that game of that game is taking place on the Chain O'Lakes with navigational buoys. Last Thursday night on Grass Lake, sometime after the boat races, someone smashed the lights and solar panels on seven navigational buoys, making this one of the worst years for malicious damage and theft of navigation aids.

The Fox Waterway Agency will discuss the issue Thursday, and Chairman Bud Scott said he is going to suggest that the agency put up a $10,000 reward for ...
