Resurrection, St. Francis to merge

Two area Catholic health-care organizations will be joining together next year.
The Sisters of the Resurrection, sponsors of Resurrection Medical Center and Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center on Chicago's Northwest Side, and the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, sponsors of St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Chicago Heights, announced Monday that they have signed a letter of intent to merge all their Illinois assets into a single, Catholic-sponsored health care organization.
