Bellamy to get award at Calumet College graduation

Calumet College of St. Joseph will award an honorary doctoral degree to Calvin Bellamy during commencement exercises Saturday. Commencement will be at noon in the Bishop Noll Institute field house, 1519 Hoffman St., Hammond.

A 10 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman St., adjacent to Bishop Noll. More than 450 students will graduate. Of those, 55 will receive master's degrees.

Before his recent retirement, the Munster resident was the chairman and chief executive officer of Bank Calumet.
