Our Lady draws faithful to Transfiguration church

Our Lady of the New Millennium left Wauconda's Transfiguration Church early Sunday morning, but images of hundreds of people praying, bearing candles, flowers and gifts, even stopping their cars on Route 176 to gaze in awe at the 33-foot stainless steel statue remain on Dee Zimmermann's mind.
"She looked like the breeze would blow her gown. She looked soft and touchable. She was very welcoming," Zimmermann, a Transfiguration pastoral minister, said. "She had a look on her face that was like, come, sit, pray with me. It was very cool."
