Not winning any of five matches on Saturday at the Prairie Ridge Tournament wasn't an indication of how the Fenwick volleyball team played.

Eight of the 10 games the Friars (1-7, 0-1) lost in the tournament were by seven or fewer points. Barrington, which won the tournament title with a perfect 5-0 record, received one of its toughest matches in a 25-21, 25-16 win over Fenwick.

"We were neck and neck with everybody in a tough tournament," Fenwick coach Eileen Asmussen said. "I think we'll get a bit of a bounce coming out of this tournament. I thought our level of play changed dramatically ...
